Specimen Collection Disclaimer
We make every diligent effort to minimize the risk of cross-contamination throughout the specimen handling and laboratory process. During laboratory analysis, we include negative, positive, and/or gel controls to monitor for contamination and ensure the accuracy of results. However, the greatest risk of contamination occurs during field specimen collection, which is outside of our direct control.
To reduce this risk, please follow these protocols carefully:
Collect samples from one bird at a time.
Use clean, sterilized tools for each collection.
Change gloves between birds.
Seal each dried blood sample in an individually labeled bag.
Please note: We cannot be held liable for contamination that may occur during field collection or as a result of procedures not conducted under our supervision. Ensuring sample integrity during collection is the responsibility of the individual or organization collecting the specimens. No refunds will be given for inconclusive samples.
